Hi everybody,
I shoot this pic at a theater show with my S5 IS (this is a 800x600 reduced version) [ISO 400, 1/100, F3,5]:

then I tried to reduce noise using NeatImage, this is the result:

Did I apply too much noise reduction in your opinion?

I think the full frame shot looks fine your never going to get a close crop out of this photo IMHO, nivce shot I like it.

There was no noise to begin with.... why did you use the reduction? Are you going to use the 100% crop? If not, who cares?

The amount of noise visible will vary from monitor to monitor; I definitely see noise on mine, but it's not too terrible.

That said, to answer your question, I think the amount of reduction is not overdone when viewing the uncropped version.

Not too much noise, okay image, but a stop or so underexposed.
