seen before today but hadn't been able to successfully stalk. Damn Jessops extension tube worked loose from camera but luckily 60efs lens was left dangling rather than crashing to the ground as the ringlight was attached!

thanks I don't think the 60efs & tubes gets quite the resolution of the MPE but its pretty good; excellent sharpness for larger subjects of course. Looks to be a Tawny Mining Bee male.

looks the same as my miner bees i have at the back of mine..get them at 3:1 buddie..if u can get close enough :D where did u find it?these miner bees are my favorite..Thank god for the ring flash..

quite a few at work amongst the bamboo, seem pretty timid and I don't have time in my lunch hour to stalk them with the MPE. Moth flies and Picture-Wings are also being very uncooperative.

i know what u mean..there a nightmare to stalk at dinner time..its when there most active..great shots any way.
