+1 with RadAL .. Would have much better impact if it were sharper. Helluva view from the pointy part though...

Great idea, but 1/10 sec wasn't fast enough.

It was actually a one second exposure, just rested it on a handy headrest.

looks like an Airbus cockpit.

Oh no! Bogey at 10 o'clock! (or is that just sensor dust?)

Probably a Boeing product as there are yokes in the shot. Airbus have sidesticks...

I always enjoy the insider technical terms. ;)

ahh. the problems imposed by a non-corrected screen at home. they didnt even show up on my home monitor  yep, you're definitely right. airbus is all fly-by-wire.

One second shots in a flying aircraft are very tough given all the vibration present. Still, I like both the concept and image. ;)

Glass cockpit + yokes rules out airbus!
Again, a nice idea but would have been much better had it been a little sharper.

It never fails to get a chuckle from Flight Attendants when I ask them:
"Could you ask the folks in the pointy part where we are right now?"

No, not jerking the FA's...
More toward goofing on the "Bus Drivers" for the FA's amusement...

The worst kind! I had to giggle at first, because when I think of bugs on a windshield, I think about bugs on the outside (and on a car)! I doubt theres too many bugs flying around above the clouds with you in this shot, lol!
You smash that sucker on the inside, or was it from take-off?

Takeoff. You can collect quite a few at night just by rolling down a couple of miles of runway.

You get even more doing ground reference maneuvers at pattern altitude over an agricultural field...Yuck...
Thank goodness for Nylon Scrubbies and Turtle Wax (for cowlings and leading edges only. Never on windscreens...)

Kinda surprised you're flying the Mad Dog with Command Bars and not Cross-Pointers.

How did you manage getting this? Is this an older shot... I mean with security nowadays you get anywhere near the "pointy part" and they threaten to arrest you.

I'm guessing this is the gentleman with the slick hat and shiny wings on his coat - sitting up front in the "pointy part" lol
