Not a bad shot at all.

I am sure that you would get more responses if you posted the shot, rather than a link. I saw this about 10 times before I decided to click through.

As far as the shot goes, if this is a crop, and you have the room, try rotating it 10 degrees then crop it. Better balance.

But the BIG issue here is saturation. This shot is WAY oversaturated on both oarsmen. Shirts are too blue and too green. The kayak is way too yellow. Tone it down some and see if that is more pleasing.

this shot sort of works. i think the main interest is the contrast between the dark water and bright kayaks and also the smooth water and kayak wakes. That's two subjects, and two subjects don't often work in one photo. Maybe cropping out the oper right part of the photo would work. That would eliminate the smooth vs disturbed water part of the photo and the viewer could contentrate on the colors.
