Does this sound a little to goo to be true?
Canon EOS 5D 12.8 DSLR Camera - $1100
Date: 2008-04-11, 11:27AM EDT
I bought this to replace my 20d however I?ve come to realize that I don?t really need the extra megapixels and the full frame. This camera is good as new, only used for less than 50 shots. Comes with all original accessories, everything is still sealed in plastic. Nothing was opened! I even used my 20d?s battery so the 5d?s battery is unused. The 24-105mm lens is also part of this kit

Are you selling or buying the 5D for $1100?
If you bought the 5D and 24-105 for $1100 and they both work (or even if the only the camera works), you got a deal.

And, if you're selling them at that price, you'll also have a deal! :D

Defiantly a scam, a new 5D is 2k alone, he would have to be stupid to sell it with at that price.

The 24-105 is over $1,000.
Someone's up to something. :)

I am sure it is. I have heard of people way under pricing and trying to get people into a car. Would not surprise me if this was the same deal. A grand in pocket puts you as a target. Part of me wants to say " but maybe he is an idiot " LOL

It's probably stolen property.

Scam...or stolen.
You see a lot of cameras being "sold" on CL...comes with camera, lens, strap, and battery but no charger...and the battery is dead so bring your own battery or charger.
Pretty much sounds like the camera was yanked from some poor photographer.
Always stay away from those deals. It's either a scam and they want to rob you or they are selling you stolen goods...and you don't want any part of that...

Thanks for posting!

Yeah, there are a bunch of those on some ebay-wannabe sites all over. Theres about 20 of them on Kinji in different cities for a 5D with 24-105 for $600 CDN.
When you email him its a guy in England who wants you to send him the money and then he'll send the camera.
Could be a gamble ;)
