Women's Tennis - College

I shot Wake Forest women's tennis today vs. Florida State and was able to capture this photo using a Mark II N with a 70-200/2.8 non-IS lens at ISO 200, 1/2500 f/2.8 @ 115mm - I did run the photo through Noise Ninja and sharpened it with USM at 85/1/4.

I agree xa - one other interesting item of note - she joined the tennis team this year and she is also one of the better players on the field hockey team!

might I ask where you were shooting from to get 115mm and also, how much of this image is cropped.

the Tennis Regionals are coming soon and most likely, I will be shooting it... since it's a college level tennis event, there are limitations on where I can be at to shoot.

Aaagogo, I shoot for the Media Relations department for Wake so I am afforded the luxury of sitting on the ground by the net when I shoot our home matches. On occasion I will also shoot from the top of the stands with a 300 or 400 for a different look.

non of the officials complained that that is a disturbing position?

my tennis courts are 3 in row and there's this bench area with shade that's in between each court and they're in line with the net.

I get court access, and i'm liking the idea of sitting by the net.
