I saw that earlier today. My thinking is that he has absolutely everything to lose by this going wrong (a career ending injury that could happen one of 10,000 ways by jumping over a car heading right for you), and absolutely nothing to gain by it going right (some online cred? It's not like he's FREAKING KOBE BRYANT or anything).

I have no idea if it was faked or not, but if it wasn't he must have been drunk or something. Risking everything on something so stupid just doesn't make sense to me otherwise.

However, if it wasn't faked, it would be extremely impressive ;).

That was pretty stupid risking his career.. if he got hit by the Aston at that speed it could have broken his legs.

The first time I saw it I didn't think so and looking at it now I'M SURE it's not real.

If you pause it right when he's over the car, his shadow on the side makes me think he just jumped next to the car as it passed.

If it is real, Aston Martins are pretty low, so no real accomplishment :)

The other thing that makes this suspect is that the clip as posted is :53 seconds long.

Too long for a :30 commercial and too short for a :60 second commercial.

It may just be raw footage or it may have just been a test shot for something that will be done better later. Something makes me think that gary88 is correct in saying he jumped off to one side of the car as a test to see if he had enough vertical (and I'd say he does...) to make it look believable.

the jumping-over-a-moving-car or walking-through-heavy-traffic type of shots are some of the first things you learn in special effects. anyone with aftereffects/shake/etc can do this shot in under 10 minutes. heck, it would look better being composited rather than done real --more control over the elements and timing.

look at the shadown of the light tower its exactly were he is standing and were the car runs over. Its real but its not that crazy hard if you have kobe's jumping ability. I bet VC wouldnt have a problem doing that either.

just check youtube, you'll already see kids jumping cars for real, and some that are faked poorly and comical.
