Also if anyone can tell me how to put the actual images up here instead of links I would appreciate that too. Maybe I am just brain dead tonight but I cant seem to figure it out.

Thanks,
Mark

Mark,

To embed an image from flickr, you have to click on all image sizes above the photo, pick the size you want, then copy/paste the link given below the photo.

As for comments. Your timing seems good, but most all of them are too wide. Shoot tight and crop tighter for sports photos. All the area away from the subject is dead space and doesn't contribute to the image.

The last image is the best of the bunch, IMO, but is too dark. Brighten that sucker up in PP.

Hope this helps.

no keepers...too far away.....you should be able to get a lot tighter with the 210. As for the last one, I'm guessing it is dark because of all the white in the shot. Need to dial in some EC. Be sure to keep checking your histogram.

Shoot tight, crop tighter. Your exposure is off on many of them -- you may want to shoot manual exposure, that way when the sky gets into the shot, your camera doesn't get fooled and you end up with dark players.

Thanks everyone....

I am shooting manual mode and I guess according to you all I need to focus on shooting tighter shots. I have 3 games to shoot this week so hopefully I can do a little better. I will post them here if I can.

Thanks again and I will take your advice and run with it. You can all probably tell I am still a rookie at this.

That's much better. The face might still be a little dark, but much improved.

Much better - gotta bring those midtones up via levels in PS when the face is underexposed!
