First time posting a picture up on POTN.
Just a quick shot of my friend who was looking at my lens and discovered that it "expands when you twist it." (his words almost exactly) This is straight out of my camera.
Feel free to critique/comment.

In this case I don't think you can get away with the shallow depth of field. You want both the face and the lens in focus. It doesn't work to have the main subject so deeply engrossed in the lens but have it out of focus.
