Hello,
I've just upgraded my camera and I'd like to buy an extra battery. When you buy batteries for your Canon gear do you stick to Canon or does any after market 3rd party battery do the trick?
Thanks!

I love my Sterlingtek batteries for my 20D. Got 4 and a charger for what 1 1/2 Canon batteries would have cost.

Another vote for Sterlingtek. I'd suggest reading the aftermarket battery sticky.

How did I miss that sticky? Hmmm, perhaps I should have invested in glasses. :D

Definitely third party. BTW, Canon does not make their own battery packs, so you are just buying a third party pack made for Canon.
Consider Sterlingtek. I have a ton of them and they are better than Canon and 1/5 the price. You can get two for less than $25.

I got some for around 10 USD each from sevendayshop.com based in the UK. They last as long as the Canon one.
