Shipping of 1DS Mark II's

Just chatted online with somebody from Ritz Camera who said it was 2-3 weeks before they would have in stock (tentatively). I plan on purchasing via BHPhoto or my local camera store. Anybody else hearing anything different? I've noticed that BHPhoto has changed status from New Item to Out of Stock to Back-Ordered so it appears they are doing something to their systems in preparation for it. Dang I was hoping for orderability by now :(

Ritz has allways been so far behind the curve.. I can't imagine they will EVER see a 1Ds of either vintage in stock?

Agreed. I always use my Local Camera Store or BHPhoto for all my needs. Both have always treated me right. Just checked again at BHPhoto, dang...still no 1DS Mark II. Also, they still don't show the WFT accessory at all. I've thought about picking one of those up as well. I do see a use for my studio and some location work.

I was handling one at Davidson's Photo in Waterford, CT just today. Purchaser backed out because he was from England and was told he coudn't get waranty service there if bought in US. It might still be there

Well that's good news. I'll ping bhphoto in the morning. Thanks for the tip. If I get nowhere, I'll call Davidson's Photo and see if I can get one from there. Thanks for the tip! I'd love to have one this week!
