Well, you are off to a start almost exactly like mine. I have very similar shots that that fall within the first 100 shots I took.
I like the first one, , but I would like to see it reshot. Get there just at dusk, with the same orange streetlight on the tree, but this time with some dark(ish - not too dark) blue sky in the background.
On the second shot, I would loose the lens flare (or what ever) in the lower right corner.
Also, consider this: We see trees from the ground looking up ALL the time. Now I DO like the bursty tangle explosion of the branches, but it STILL is a tree. I think it would be a more interesting shot if you simply displayed it upside down. It would still have all the things I like, but it would kick our sense of orientation out from under us. Give it a try. (Or go with monochrome.)
3rd shot is very bland. Uninteresting. Ugly wires. Blown highlights on the sign. 2 different white balances. Bad camera, bad, bad, bad!

- Wow...same here actually. While I don't live in the same city, these are almost identical to some of the first shots I ever took with my DSLR.
