OK, I have come to like this shot, once I cropped out a pair of out-of-focus who were fighting gulls on the left side of the frame - and were doing NOTHING for the shot. I also desaturated it a bit. The hands/arms were a pink/orange color - really bright - lit by the waning sun. I think that I made the color a lot more natural without turning the water too turquoise. All in all, I like it.

I am not sure what I "see" - one species reaching out to another... gotta be something really metaphysical here.

But I am more interested in what you see/think. Please critique on mood, subject, balance, composition, or ANY thing else you can think of.

I like the concept, but too many things are cropped or covered. The bottom dolphin is too cropped, the next one up his the entire lower jaw covered by the first. The two hands in the upper left are so cropped they're an annoyance and don't lend much - but the picture would be hurt without several hands and several dolphins so they're kinda needed.
