What do you guys think of these? They were taken straight out of the camera (20D).

As shots go, they are nothing too special, but they are a nice excercise on depth of field. Think of these as laying the groundwork for better things to come.

I like the first photo much better than the second. It has more depth with a ball right in front of the lens, to the left; as well as the balls trailing off behind the 5 ball. I also like the camera angle and the low perspective.

The only change I would make to the first shot is to remove the stray circles of light, one just above the 5 ball and another to its right.

We've recently built a steel shed at the bottom of the garden to house a pool table and will soon be decorating it. This kind of shot is exactly what I'm thinking of doing just to jazz up the plain walls a bit.
I'm not too keen on them in black and white though. With the table and the balls being so colourful I'd really want to capture that in the shot.

The reflective spots are also a little distracting but are easily fixed.

All in all, great - but in need of colour.
