i shot a small local band last week and of course they choose the only one where i even allowed a (((brick)))) wall. this one is not my favorite but the one they really liked. at any rate, i have been playing around a lot with it and have come up with this. do you think it is too much?

just wondering,

tell me about the lights you used for the night shots?

well, it didn't work out like i wanted it to. and i have since bought some cactus triggers and moved pocket wizards up a lot higher on my list.
so for the most part it was just my 580. as it got darker most of them have the strobe about 3 feet from the camera fired into a 42" diffuser (5 in 1 reflector without the cover). on the very last one it was dark enough to fire a second strobe optically, so the 580 through the diffuser was the key light and a 285hv into an umbrella was the fill.

If IMG_7183 on your site didn't have the leftmost guy blending into the darkness, that would definitely be my fave.

And holy crap...that guitarist is STACKED! Kudos for being able to even squeeze him into the shot!

Nice series. Nice PP on this one.
I like #7185 as well.

I'd have used a tripod if possible though. Makes it easier to "swap a head" if needed ;)

Mich, this looks real good... Very professional... doesn't need any more work from what i can see...

Just one thing... The front man's foot, can you give him a little more space so his shoe doesn't get cut off?

This will make a great cover for a CD or a poster too...

thanks john! i wish i could give him a little more space where the shoe isn't cut off. unfortunately that is not fixable at this point.

thanks for you input.
