Batch Action Processing?

Is there a way in CS3 to apply the same action to a select group of photos in a specific folder, or even the entire folder contents?

Yep...

File->Scripts->Image Processor

Define what process you want applied as an Action, then you can run it on a batch of photos.

In CS2 it can be done by File >> Automate >> Batch, then pick your action and source and destination folders.

(I know you asked about CS3, but my guess is it's still in the same place).
