thanks guys - trailrider - the 1Ds's have pretty good colour out of the box but i do confess to using the vibrancy slider in aperture a little on a couple :D

great shots! i would have liked the last one more if the groom had a complimentary expression on his face to the bride. perhaps with his head down, eyes closed, smiling contently at the end of their day with his bride in his arms. he kind of looks goofy =T

but the rest, i love the PP and compositions. great job!

Nice stuff, you guys do great work.
I like the brides eyes open in the last shot more.
A bit of apature control and fill may have saved the blown highlights in shot two.

These images are absolutely fantastic! Where were you when i got married? I don't even have 1 nice shot to put on the wall from my entire day and i still get upset over it. I had a gorgeous long veil that was blowing in the wind and the photographer didn't even think to get a nice shot of it. What i would pay to have one like your first! They are awesome!

thats what got me into wedding photography, it really annoyed me when my sister & then sister in law had really crap photos for their wedding day so i thought I'd give it a shot

Wow - great shots! I personally prefer the one of them smiling/laughing with the bridge in the background over the one where they look more serious. Awesome job!

thats what got me into wedding photography, it really annoyed me when my sister & then sister in law had really crap photos for their wedding day so i thought I'd give it a shot

It does seem as though photography was your calling mate, though i feel sad for your sis and sis-in-law. It isn't fair when you pay out money and get any decent shots >:( Something your brides don't have to worry about. Thanks so much for sharing these great images. They are inspiring!
