I am looking to do some strobist portraits, basic head and shoulder business shots etc.
Has anyone had experience with either of the following cheap ebay umbrellas?

am I better off buying good quality gear straight up?
If so what would you recommend?

Is this set up the best for its price?

Shipping is a little expensive but I am sure they are fine. I use Westcott collapsibles umbrellas and really like them. The cost like $10 more

If your ordering with in North America, I'd go with the B&H setup. Its from a known reliable source. You get everything you need to mount your strobes.

The 2 ebay items seem to priced in AU, Australia? So if your on that side of the water, maybe going with the ebay ones are worth it, shipping + taxes etc.

I don't really mind paying extra for my stuff. Specially if its local. Thats kind of the benefit. The convenience of walking into your local shop, taking a look at the equipment right there. If there is anything wrong with it. I can always walk back in and talk to someone about it.
