I have a Nikon FC-F8 which is a fisheye adaptor for a compact coolpix - I shoot with a 350D and I've used an adaptor to combine them - basically stick it on my main lens to get a fisheye shot.
What I'm finding is that the light isn't great, and the fisheye vignettes pretty badly (which can be adjusted in photoshop)... its sharp when zoomed out and give a full fisheye on a 350D which is interesting...
My question is - should I carry on with this slightly awkward method - or sell the FC-E8 and buy a proper fisheye?
