Last night after taking a picture I tried switching to preview mode and nothing happened. I turned it off/on a few times and took a few pictures and still when switching to preview mode nothing happens. The viewer still shows live as in picture taking mode.
Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Try resetting the camera by holding in the MENU button for about 10 seconds. Confirm the reset by selecting OK and pressing the SET button. If this doesn't resolve the issue, remove the batteries from the camera overnight, then place fresh batteries in and try it again. If this doesn't do it, send it in to Canon for service.

Thanks for the reply. I will try resetting as soon as I get home. I figured there was some way to reset, I just didn't know how it was done.
I will let you know how it turns out.

Possibly a mechanical fault with the selector knob. Does it feel any "different" when you move it?

JohnnyE I tried everything you suggested, but its still not working
jrobert, I was thinking the same thing...no it doesn't really feel any different than it ever has.
Is this something that a local shop could look at or would I need to send it to canon to take a look? I don't know if it would even be worth it if its too much money. I'd be better off getting a new a95.

I have had this problem last August. Canon replaced mode switch. This has just happened again (12/15), and I returned camera again to Canon. Camera was purchased last Christmas, and my daughter is very unhappy at this moment! Should still be under warranty according to the Canon service representative. The last repair took ~2 weeks turnaround.
