Hi,
Not sure how many of you are on flickr, but if you have visited the site within the past week you would have noticed they recently added video. I shot this for fun over the whole issue. I know its quite orange, but it was taken under normal house lighting, plus I somewhat like the colourcast. Feedback much appreciated as always.

I think the shadows are so blocked up that it is too difficult to figure out what's going on. I guess you are trying to portray a guy trying to stuff a 33 1/3 RPM record into the side of a laptop computer.

Thanks Robert, you are right, shadows are far too dark. I was trying to blacken up the wall in the background though, but it doesn't do the actual concept much justice. My 430ex should be arriving soon so hopefully it will help out with the obvious lighting problems. You're right regarding the concept though. Flickr said somewhere in the forums that 'all media is the same' so I'm just making fun in a more literal sense. Quite silly really, but practice nonetheless. It's quite hard being the model and photographer though, haha!

Tricky since you are wearing black everything and the record is extra black. I like the idea, and I think in the first shot, darkening it further (keeping only the arms and laptop visible) would look very interesting. Perhaps getting some sort of light refleting of the record would make the eye distinguish it from pure darkness.

as above the vinyl seems to dissapear into the darkness, i do like the colour cast though.
But on the concept i mistook it as something relating old and new technology, as if videos have no place on flickr, but now you've said it was relating to the comment about all media being the same it makes much more sense.

Haha, Yeah. It goes better with a title, makes more sense. Thanks for the comments, agree with everyone here so far. The record defiantly requires more light. Practice makes perfect.
