Title: Silly Kids - Silly Hats
Camera: Sanon S3IS

Didn't have time to go out and get a picture this week, so I pulled this one from my files from last Christmas.

Tinkered with noise reduction, brightness, saturation, and sharpness a little.

Results for challenge #119

Folks, thanks for entering this challenge. Since we had only 5 entries, and two were not qualified, I am making comments on each. As you will read below, two were fun for me. i. e. "deja vu". For the ones disqualified, either may have been my choice.

Title: Ready for Takeoff, Paul B. Is this at the EAA Museum? I would have liked to have had a picture that made sense to me. I think perhaps I would like to have color and less noise.

Title: DR. Livingstone I presume?, Micky Daeus. Great title good composition. I like the lush green background too. This guy is a new age Henry Stanley who could have gotten the story out much quicker with the cell phone. But, you didn't list the camera that was used. If I hadn't missed that detail, I would have PM'd you about it. Sorry, I can't consider it for rating in this challenge.
I know that you listed your cameras below, but you would have to specify which.

Title: Silly Kids - Silly Hats, Edd S. This is a nice picture of kids being silly, although I would really would have like to see the faces on the left two come out of the shadows. A striking thing about this picture to me, is that it was deja vu to me. Just 3 weeks ago, I saw benandbethany, both in this current challenge, but ben was in caricature. You obviously have fun with your kids. I really liked the painting.

Title: My three sons (and their handknit hats), prcrstn8. That's funny. I liked the poses and the idea but the stitching is lacking. I'm sure I would have a frustrating job getting it right, if I could at all. It reminds me of what tailors used to do when repairing a tear in a suit-never the same. You might have pretty good luck on a solid wood bench or a low wall. Anyway, it was deja vu to me. Just 3 weeks ago, I saw one of your sons (the center one) in a previous challenge (with a "Postit"over his mouth). I can imagine the trouble you have keeping them sorted out. Do you require they always wear the same hats? You obviously have fun with your kids.

Title: Chocolate, jorogume. I like the picture. Very moody, maybe sinister. But you posted this at 05:54 my time in California, which makes it 12:54 GMT, passed the deadline. sorry.

Winners:
1. Silly Kids - Silly Hats, Edd S
2.My three sons (and their handknit hats), prcrstn8
3. Ready for Takeoff, Paul B.

Congratulations Edd, prcrstn8 and Paul B.

I like these challenges a lot. I found the topic a couple of days ago and now I love it, so from ow on you will see me(read me ) around, but next time I'll make sure to check against GMT and not my local time. :D

Again, Congratulation to the winners.

I can imagine the trouble you have keeping them sorted out. None at all. One kid, one couch, different hats, different poses, frankenstitched together and voila! "People" wearing hats.

Wow! Thanks so much.

prcrstn8, I absolutely loved your picture. Well done!

jorogume, I loved your picture, as well. I know it was sent in too late to be considered, but I did want to compliment you.

The next challenge will be up and running momentarily.
