These are some photos I took this summer with my Kodak DX6490.

Critiques welcome.

The only thing I noticed is that they were taken with the wrong brand of camera. :(

The first one is perfect, I love it. The second has some really nice colors and stuff around the butterfly. I personally am distracted a bit by the large expanse of blurred content on the right side. I think tighter cropping might improve it. If the background blur were smoother, like the first, it would be less distracting.

Nice Images
I agree with sparker1 that the second image is a little distracting with its background - perhaps a tighter crop of the image will help - if you don't mind using photoshop you could also try adding a bit of blur to the background to help smooth it out.

It matters not that they were taken with the "wrong camera" as someone suggests this forum is about "photo critique" not the camera it was taken on.

I like the first one a lot. The colors are vibrant, lighting right on and the subject is strong. I agree the second has too much going on and needs a good cropping. The subject could used a bit more lighting as well. Number one is a winner :D
