College Baseball and Ice Skating

My brother-in-law's little brother plays baseball for a local community college. I was at his game the other day to shook sequences of him pitching to edit them in photoshop.

After the pictures have been seen by several people on the team and a few parents, I've been asked if I can do the same thing for their kids. The pictures were met with great enthusiasm. Problem is...I honestly don't know what to charge for it.

I am asked to shoot both College Baseball and Ice Skating of the same level.

I do know that to make the 18 shot sequence below, it took me about four hours (not including watching the game in its entirety). Once I did that, I went back and deleted layers to get the 9 and 6 shot sequences, respectively.

The first price that came to mind was $200.00 per kid, but that doesn't really come out to much per hour with all the post editing.

Attached to this post are the three different sequences that I did. I haven't had time to crop them or mess with any other settings but you all get the idea ;) . Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Aloha.

That's pretty cool haleiwa-brando. I would probably drop the last few layers and end with the pitcher down low in the follow through. Maybe even drop all the between layers that block the face of the preceding layer.

As far as getting $200 per kid, good luck with that. I'm relatively new to the sports photo sales game and I'm finding that parents today, for some reason, do not place a lot of value on photos (at least I don't think my stuff is THAT bad). They'll drop $200 on a bat for Little Johnny in a heartbeat, but $10 for a photo????? Forget it. I get tons of lookers on my web site, but very little sales action. I only started doing this because of all the Ohhh’s and Ahhhh’s from the parents when I’d print a couple of shots of stuff that I had posted to the team website.

I think I’ll go now and change my screen name to Bitter-Boy.
