That's a 400 2.8, hope its on a monopod, tried it on BB game this year sucker was just do heavy, I am looking into getting a 300 for next year, 400 is just to much reach for BB.

I was thinking that it looks more like a 400.
I agree it's a little too long for basketball, tried using both 300 and 400 for basketball, while 300 gives a nice reach till the end of the court.
400 however can fetch some very nice sniper images of the audience or coaches from the opposite end.

I read threads where pro cameras are not allowed in most places.

i walked in w/ a 70-200 attached to the body w/ my canon hand held strap holding it on my right hand. I might have tucked it between my left arm cuz we went throught w/ 3 kids.
