If I ever used a telephone I would be tempted, being an Apple nut, but for that much money its a bit too much. I love the way they write "just" in the price. Sure, "just £329".

I hate the things, I had one but gave it to my wife last week as she lost hers. When we turned it on it asked for the date and time and the last time it had been used was September 2007. Even our household phone bills are always zero. Perhaps an iPod Touch would be better for me :D

I hate cell phones and use them as little as possible. I only change when the battery is knackered or it breaks.
I also hate 02 witha passion - after a particularly Victor Meldrew-ish experience with them I went to Virgin as a pay-as-you-go user and have saved a fortune. I made them port my number too. Very satisfying.
So there is no way on I'd go back to 02 - I'd rather give my mobile up for ever.

I'm with o2 and no problems ... I chop and change with the best deals, transfer my number and just stay 'til my contract is due to end, then change again. They are all as bad/good as each other in my experience. As to the iBone to be honest they are selling stock asap before the 3G versions get released around June. You buy now you will be just be looking at all the folks who have the newer version. I'd wait. Personally, I am happy with what I have. The ibone has never appealed.

Surely having both is better than having just wi-fi?

Not for me ta - I've got a Sony Ericsson K850i that's got a 5mp camera to boot and that's good enough for me. And I didn't have to pay £169 for it.

People who don't just sit at home or in coffee shops all day and who need always on internet ;-)

Because 3g works in a load more places than wi-fi does. IMO Apple screwed up with the iphone not featuring 3g - I suspect the new version will have it though, hence the price cut to get rid of the old stock...

If ya wantee one then go to Quidco, sign up, find O2 and then click through to buy the monthly package ya want. I think ya get £100 cashback ;-) but I ain't checked proper. I might get one when I am due for renewal if they offer me a super good deal, like less minutes and text and more internet access for less cash. My business also pays for my phone but it is still my money! I am very happy with my S/Eric 990i. Has a good touch screen, world alarm clock and nice icons :-) I try and avoid using it. I think people should still communicate via smoke signals if distance is involved!
