I have been asked to do a photo shooting for a friend and had a thought about what to give her.

Although I wont charge her for this as she is a really good friend but i was thinking if others asked me to do a shooting what would i charge and what would the client get.

What do you guys give to your clients?
How many printed copies, what about a CD of the complete set?

Anything like a calendar or a book etc would be extras I would think.

I am thinking of doing this sort of thing as a sideline only if and when the oppertunity arises, I wont do it full time so i can't really ask the prices of local photographers.

I think a CD is what everyone seems to want these days.

If I was to give a gift, then the final product would be a classy blown up print of her choice, most likely matted and framed because it's never fun to get a blown up shot that needs work. It's like getting a toy without the batteries.

Good thought that, For my friend all i have to do is the pics plus a bit of PP and put them as normal TIF's JPG's on a cd, a few romantic looking pics as she wants 12 or more to have a calendar printed. She will sort the calendar out herself. I have done one shoot already and given some pics the go over with dreamy look etc. But I will give her some prints and just wondered if she was a paying customer what would you normally do.

Cant post any pics as it is still ongoing and if hubby looks the surprise will be gone.

i put all the lo-res on cd, as well as the ones they want printed (hi-res). and if they want PP done on the hi-res :)
