gday everyone.. complete newbie to dig photography, just got a canon A85 for my B'day last week and IM HOOKED!!!!

Just wanted to say g'day, and ask if anyone knows how/if i can get a polarising filter to fit the canon lens adapter? I do a lot of boating/fishing and a polarising filter makes those water shots oh so nice :)

Hope you are all prepared for a heap of dumb questions from me over the comming months! :)

The adapter is a 52 mm thread, so a 52 mm polarizer will work. If you wanted to attach the filter to an auxilliary lens on the adapter, I don't think anyone's yet marketed a solution for Canon's aux. lenses.

Is the 52mm thread filter a 'standard' size .. ie readily available at a good camera shop?

Extremely standard. It's even one of Canon's preferred filter sizes for their SLR lenses (along with 58 mm).
