Hi.....

Kind of a broad question, but Im up in the air as far as a vacation for 2005 for my wife and I. I would like to go somewhere that I can get an abundance of great pics. Anyone know of any phototography - based trips (ie with other photogs). Aside from the photog-trips, where are your favorite shooting spots....in US or abroad ( I know someone will say in my own backyard you can get great pis, but I thought this would give me some good vacation ideas). I was thinking castles in Germany......Yellowstone Park....Im open to anything.

Thanks!

Grab just about any magazine about photography and look in the back.
There are dozens of different photo trips to all over the US and the world.
Mainly depends on what you like taking pictures of.

My favorite trip, when I was just getting into photography was to the Galapagos Islands. If you are into nature, there's nothing better.

We were a bit tamer this year on a 2 week driving trip of Irleand. Went after the busy season so we could just drive till we decided to stop, and there'd be a comfortable Bed & Breakfast happy to have us. The weather is not always cooperative, it rains as much as you've heard, however, the country is beautiful and filled with old castles & ruins around every corner.. It varied from the Bushmills Distillery http://www.PhotoShare.co.nz/PhotoShareGallery1/100191/104748/1-011428Bushmills13920_S.jpg

to tremendous rock formations and coastlines http://www.PhotoShare.co.nz/PhotoShareGallery1/100191/104748/1-09GiantsCauseway_f8149_S.jpg

Restored & unrestored castles http://www.PhotoShare.co.nz/PhotoShareGallery1/100191/104748/6-18KingJohnsCastle-Limerick2290_S.jpg

And finishes up with a bit of Guinness http://www.PhotoShare.co.nz/PhotoShareGallery1/100191/104748/1482Guinness6867.jpg, although there is quite a bit in between each. I would highly recommend a trip there.
