Powershot A590 & CHDK?

Hi folks.

I looked at the A590 at Bestbuy and I was impress but the build quality. It seems to be solid construction and a big improvement over recently cameras like the A570.

However it only does movies at 20fps, so I am wondering if anyone has gotten CHDK working on it, which I presume is the only way to unlock this cameras better functions.

Hi! I'm about to buy a new camera, and I really liked the A590, but I've found that nobody is working on the CHDK for this one.
My other option was the A570, which actually has the CHDK, but it only has auto flash :confused:
So... What would you recommend me? Should I buy the A570? or buy the A590 and wait for the CHDK? (I'm from Argentina, so I suppose that it would take a little longer to appear here)

If I had the A570 with de CHDK, what differences would I appreciate?

CHDK adds Raw mode & a whole host of other goodies, things like focus bracketing etc..

The raw images arnt supported by CS3 or other packages, but you use a simple conversion to dng to get them working in CS3 or anything that supports dng.

I went for the A720 purely because of its optics & the fact CHDK was fully supported, there are limits to the amount of processing you can achieve with the Raw files but its certainly a feature I wouldnt be without.
