I was shooting some portraits of some friends of mine yesterday. I was using a 550ex set on auto and a Tokina 28-70 2.8 EX Pro lens.
The camera hung twice. It looked normal looking thru the viewfinder but the camera wouldn't AF. Both times it had no response to any button. Turned power off and the LCD display stayed on. Removing battery was the only way to clear.
I thought this might be related to the pre-fire on the 550 where the camera couldn't meter. I was shooting tv, 1/200. CF3=0, CF5=0, CF7=0, CF14=0, CF15=0.
Any one seen this before? Do I have something set wrong or is it operator error?
