Hi Francesca. I think you'll love your photo classes. When do they start? I hope we can start seeing more of your equine photography.. and watch you grow in your photography knowledge. I shoot horses too. ... and feed them... and clean up after them ... and sometimes, manage to steal some time to actually get them ridden. LOL

Welcome! Take as many classes as you can and practice as much as possible. I have a 40D too and I love it. My 2 cents are: The background is icky on #1 and detracts from the shot. Also, the focus looks somewhat soft on that one. On #2, too much of the horse is out of the shot - the composition needs work. I like #3, but I'd crop out some of the sky I think. Finally, try and insert your pictures into your post. It is much easier for everyone to see (people would rather just look here than have to click on your individual links). Here is a link to show you how: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=470009
Here are a few of my equestrian shots:

thank you.
I wasnt to sure incase the images were really big when i posted them, on some forums they dont like that and when you make them smaller & the quality is rubbish lol.
The course i've took its a NC photography which you study: Higher photography: Research project; photo reportage: and photography for the media which is all in the higher. and stuff like studio photography, information technology, media studies, communication, video projects, desktop publising etcc :) really fun course. I start in August..
