Just learning my 20D. Should I use sRGB or Adobe RGB for my color space in the camera settings. I use my images only for printing on my desktop printer and viewing images on my computer.

aRGB gives better (more) colours (slightly?) but is more work. I was tempted until I found out it added a whole new step to my processing run!

Anything that is taken in aRGB requires conversion to sRGB to be viewed or printed on anything that does not support aRGB (the Web for one!).

I also use regular RGB. I read an artical a while back about the two and the photos convinced me not to use sRGB...Dean

This question is asked here quite often, and also in the Post Processing and Printing forum. Search for the previous answers...

Use sRGB unless you know what colour spaces are and what colour management is. If you don't setup your software properly, Adobe RGB images will look wrong - the colours will look undersaturated.

For viewing on the web, you should always use sRGB, because most webbrowsers (especially on Windows) are not colour management aware and won't display Adobe RGB images correctly.
