Thought some of you might be interested in my 2-day horse show where I shot both still photos and video simulataneously. I used a 2-camera head Slik mount on a big Bogen tripod with a Sony VX2100 camcorder and Canon 1Ds with Canon 135 f/2 L lens and Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens for the shoot. I built a small platform to stand on so I was elevated above the arena fence. Here's a couple pics of my setup:

That's a 26" Westinghouse flat-screen monitor to the lower right. It was the first time I used it at a shoot and it really saved my eyes reviewing the photos.
And here's a link to the results (proofs and videos):

I found shooting video and photos simultaneously to be pretty easy and didn't really have many screwups tracking the horses. The worst part was the lighting in the arena where I had left my 135 f/2 at home the first day of the shoot and had to struggle by with my 70-300 f/2.8. The VX2100, however, did absolutely superb in the low light.
Enjoy!
