I'm home with my parents for the Thanksgiving holiday and of course, as I'm the family photo pro, my mother wants me to fix the set-up she's got for printing her digital snapshots. My dad got her this printer as well as a little Powershot (something or other model) last Christmas, but the prints always come out with a horrible magenta cast--at least 50 units.
Now if I were back at school with endless equipment at my fingertips, I could handle this no problem, but that's 3000 miles away and I don't have any color calibration stuff to use. I can probably get a $50 budget to fix this for software or whathaveyou, but that's it.
Anyone have any suggestions? Keep in mind that I need to keep anything my mom would have to do when she's printing to a minimum as she's not that technically savvy. She basically needs to be able to pop in the memory card and tell the computer to print. Are there any existing profiles I could download? Any tips would be great.
Thanks!
