Does anyone know where I can find a cylinder that would hold a standard 10 foot wide roll of backdrop paper? I am thinking of something that could easily & securely be latched onto the luggage rails on top of a van or SUV.

Carpet tube, though it's wouldn't be weather resistant. PVC piping is probably too flexible if you plan on moving it.

You can buy tubes that plumbers use to carry lengths of copper pipe around, plastic with screw fit ends. I have one to carry fishing rods around on the roof and it works a treat.

Thank you for the replies. Those are good ideas so I'll look into that. I was wondering if someone made an item specifically for that purpose, but I guess not.
