Hi

I have been editing my images in lightroom and then saving as JPG when done. I noticed that the default save ammount for ppi is 240.

Should I set this to 300ppi to get the most out of my images. i.e. am I loosing detail by leaving it at 240

Thanks
Chris

That number is entirely arbitrary and irrelevant until you print the image, at which time it will define a default size for the print. If you change the desired print size the ppi will also change, if you don't resample. Ppi means pixels per inch - if the pixels are constant and the inches change, the ppi changes. Or the opposite - change ppi and the print size changes. As long as you don't change the pixels by resampling, your digital image is in no way affected.
