I have an engagement session coming up in a few weeks. The groom to be is in a wheelchair. Does anyone have any ideas for traditional like, intimate & creative posing? What kind of locations should I be scoping out besides the obvious wheelchair accessible? Thanks in advance for your suggestions & examples.

Never seen that done before, and obviously some traditional shots cannot be done! however I would think in terms of getting more close ups her in his lap maybe. if he can get out of the chair have him set in front of a rock/tree etc with her between his legs. what about the traditional her arms around his neck from behind? that would work fine.
is the wheelchair a temporary or permanent thing?

Yeah, this presents a challenge. Thanks for your response. The groom to be is my cousin & he is bound to the wheelchair for life. He has spinal bifida.

Maybe you can find a nice cafe', restaurant, ice cream parlor, etc. where they can share a table - mabye a toast, a scoop of ice cream, whatever it takes to get them on an even level for some of the shots.

That's a great idea.

He knows and everyone else knows he is in a wheelchair so why try to hide it? We have a local news reporter here that reports right from her chair and no attempt is made to hide it.
The situation does create a more difficult situation in which you need to be creative, but I think if you treat it like any other chair with the second person getting as close as possible, I think things will be great!

I absolutely agree. I did not mean that you should try to hide it at all. but having them "running down the beach together" would not make a great pic IMO. it would be better to have them at better heights... just my two cents.
