There was a bunch of rebels on that site, but what is the difference between them?

You know this is a film camera right?

Have you seen the back of one of these? At first glance you could be forgiven for thinking it was digital!

Yeah. Something to do with little bits of silver. Weird.

Here it is:

Now what would you think if you saw a screen like that on the back, especially if it was turned off! When I first read about it I thought it might have been a new cheaper version of the drebel.

Yeah. Something to do with little bits of silver. Weird.

Saw someone opening their camera up the other day, thought is was broken, turns out they were loading that film stuff into it, couldn't review the shots either

If you want to know more about the specs and the differences between Canon's EOS cameras, have a look at http://www.canoneos.com

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I want a new camera, (digital) preferably from canon but doesn't have to be. I dont want to spend a fortune on it but I want it to be a pretty good one. At least 5 or more megapixles. I also want the option to change lenses.

Any ideas?

You're lucky

Canon has recently launched a camera called the Digital Rebel.
(OK, I'm pulling your leg, the camera has been around for quite some time now)

However, it sounds like the perfect answer to your problem. It's a great DSLR with 6 MP, very good image quality (a lot better than 8 MP point-and-shoot digicams, because the sensor is larger) and accepts Canon's line of EF-lenses (and EF-S lenses specifically designed for Canon's newer digital cameras). Costs about 750$ shipped, depending on the offers.

Best regards,
Andy

Michael,

as I'm based in Europe, I only know about the US offers what I read on the forum.

Do a forum search for that!

Also, you might be interested to know that there is a special rebate program available at the moment for the Digital rebel. If you buy it with 2 or 3 lenses, you get 2x or 3x the rebate. Basically, with 3 items, the rebate on the DRebel will be $ 300.

That means that for about 1100$, you could get a very decent setup that cost a lot more just recently. There was a post just yesterday describing such a setup. Couldn't find it just now. Do a forum search for that, as well

Best regards,
Andy
