Ok so I'm working on moving my photos to a site I can use to sell them also, I've been reading a lot about exposuremanager the past couple of days and it seems to be a good deal.
My photography is just starting to pick up a little business as I do it as a hobby on the weekends mainly when I'm not in school. That's right, I'm a 22 year old starving college student lol. My main focus is racing and automotive photography and my main customers lately have all been members of the Copperstate Mustang Club out of Phoenix (I'm a member and usually attend most events). Lately I've been getting mostly print orders and have been offering discounted rates for club members and delivering the prints at the next event members are at.
The president of the club has made me their official photographer and already has plans for me to offer photo packages at the big national Mustang Club of America show in Phoenix in the fall (this event alone will make it worth my while to have an online selling option as many of the participants will be from out of state).
So my questions here is how many of you use exposuremanager and what are your experiences with it? Do any of you have bad experiences with the site?
Thanks for your help!

I have been using it for 2 years now. I also did a lot of research and they seemed to have the best deal, features, and very easy to customize. Im sure you will find opinnions all of over though, with the various services. All of the options out there seemed to have about the same service, I think it just depends on which one you start using and like. Exposuremanager has a very open forum and they are always accepting new ideas and communicating their changes and new features. I personally wouldnt switch. Good luck

I have been using EM since August and wouldn't think of going elsewhere. Customer service is excellent and they now have their own lab for prints. Throughout the year I order a print to keep up on quality and they are great. They make it easy to generate different types of sales reports. You can also remove ALL indication of their name from your site. This is important so that people cannot find out who you use and what your cost is for prints etc.. You also decide what products to offer and what you want to charge. You can have multiple price lists which allow for you to customize them and offer different products to different groups if you choose to. For example, I had a customer who wanted to order over 200 4x6 prints so I set up a password protected gallery for her and gave her a special price on the size she was going to order. EM takes 10% form the sales but that is reasonable, some sites take as high as 15%. They handle the credit card processing so you accept them through the site but you don't have the headaches or expenses of a merchant account through a bank or other provider.
PM me if you have any other questions.

I use Zenfolio and so far my only complaint with them is they don't offer packages that I can set up. Not sure about EM.
I did send an email to EM a few weeks ago asking who did their printing and a few other questions---they haven't replied as of yet.

Thanks guys, that is really helpful, I always do a lot of reading and research before I do stuff like this so feedback from people who use it is great!

I was with EM for 2 years and just switched to Instaproofs. There are definitely a few things I liked more with EM, but in the end, it came down to money. When I ran a graph on how much sales I needed to justify the monthly cost of EM versus the extra 5% with Instaproofs, Instaproofs won...or rather my wallet won.
Just remember, with EM, if you don't sell anything, you still have to pay.

Since Instaproofs doesn't offer printing, where do you get your prints done and how do you deal with shipping?

I did a ton of research as well and ended up with Exposure Manager. The customizability is what sealed the deal for me. They offered one stop shopping and I could completely hide their name and identity from the whole process.
I must add that their customer service is absolutely incredible. I had a problem creating a coupon code a few weeks ago and sent an email to their general address listed on their site at about 1:00am EST. I went to bed and figured I would hear from them at some point the next day. Instead, when I checked my email at 8:00am the next morning, I had received two messages from their webmaster acknowledging the problem and then notifying me of it being corrected. I also had an email from a customer service rep who was checking to make sure it had been corrected AND I had two emails from the president of the company explaining in detail what had gone wrong, apologizing for the inconvenience, and offering me a discount on my next month's fee.
I don't know about anyone else, but in my book that kind of service is unheard of in today's world and made me an advocate of Exposure Manager ever since.

I have been using EM for over 2 years. I agree with the above comments on EM. I have had some questions arise and they have been quickly to respond. There customer support is great and they produce pro quality prints!

WHCC or ProDPI. Most of the time I drop-ship, but sometimes I get it sent to me and then repackage it and send it on. It just depends on the size of the order.
