A20 with washed out outdoor pictures

Hi, hope someone can help me with this problem. My camera takes pictures indoors with a flash fine. Outdoor pictures are totally washed out and not useable. I tried a new flash card, updated the firmware and tried every setting possible with no change in the results. Is it worth sending out for repair?

Post a link to some of the washed out pics, and we can see what you mean.

Try using Auto Mode or P Mode.
In P Mode make the exposure compensation to standard.

If that doesnt give u clear pictures. then post some pics with EXIF data. then we can see what the problem can be.

Thanks for the help. I just purchased an A85 since I needed the camera for vacation anyway. I guess I'll work on the A20 when i get some free time.
