It looks like the Tamron 28-75 DiXR lens is difficult to find in Canada. I'm in Ontario... any leads, or am I looking in all the wrong places. :(

Not sure, but the lens is about $300 more expensive in Canada then it is in the States after conversions.

Buy from the US, other then that, almost all places I know have no stock.

Aye, BH is a decent store and will ship anywhere... even all the way to me in NZ.
