I went out this morning to try out my new 70-200 IS L and took this foggy scene. I was quite happy with it until i noticed the purple tint to parts of the sky. Does this really ruin it , should i make it black and white.

What do u think?

Very very nice moody shot.

The only thing that I noticed the the float on the right. I know that it must be there, but I think (repeat: THINK) that the oveall balance of the shot might be improved if the float was moved lower and closer to the right margin. Try it and see.

Otherwise, about the purple, I dont really see it. If it bothers you then try this: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=46023 and create a desaturated layer. Depeninding on how/where you put the gradiant, you should be able to keep the blue, while taking care of the purple.
