Tide was low so I managed to get a different angle on the girl in a wetsuit than I normally would get. I tried to silhouette the runner against part of the Vancouver skyline.

Love #1, except for the Chevron sign.

You read my mind. I was just home on a dinner break, and when I looked at it again I thought "I should really take that out".
Here it is...

Great sky in #1. Did you you use a split neutral density filter?

UV filter only. When taking that shot I metered for the sky so I wouldn't blow it out. I further reduced the brightness of the blue in post.

Now all I can say about #1 is just that I love it.

Yeah I have one from last fall like that as well. I wanted one of her from an angle that I didn't have already, and the tide was way out. So imagine a bunch of people on the seawall taking pictures of her, and me climbing down and walking right out to her. I felt a little goofy, but I wanted a better shot than I normally get.

In metering for the sky, the statue sort of gets plugged up - it could use a little more detail. In fact, the whole shot looks just a tad underexposed, gives it great saturation but, to me, loses a little bit of shadow detail. Great shot!

The first one is amazing!! If you cropped right under the statues foot, it looks like he is running on water LOL
