Jabob,

I have been resisting this one because I feel that I SHOULD like it. It is perfectly done, the colors are glorious, post processing is stunning without being overpowering, the image is compelling, but for some reason - that I cannot place - it just doesn't grab me. I don't know why. It has all the elements that I find tantalizing, but the sum total just doesn't click.

I THINK - and I am just guessing here, but I think that it is the absence of a context. When I see this image, the context that I create is that of an early 80's post punk album cover. The Alarm, Siouxie and the Banshees, maybe even X - so there it would make sense. But here, without any other clues I find myself not saying "Wow" when there is everything there that would cause me to say it.

I am as perplexed by my reaction as you likely are by my critique.

anyway...it creats a very dramatic mood, fearful i guess, or sinister. But i do agree with Rad....its the kind of thing i'd expect to see on an alblum cover.

but the only problem i have is that her head looks to go on forever. but i can look past it.
