Thanks, I certainly hope so as it's easier to take care of. The pixel lookes square while looking at it and thats why I was questioning it.

shoot at a blank surface wide open, and then again stopped down. Dust spots should almost go away at a wide aperture and show up clearly with a smaller aperture.

This was a small apeture. I cleaned the sensor with air so maybe it won't show up tomorow.

A dead pixel or 'hot' pixel is more likely to show up as a bright spot.
