It should be noted that DPP 1.5 only runs on Windows XP or 2000.

I found it, under drivers. For anyone else that's wondering, it seems to be a raw conversion utility.

I just tried it, and it still has the demosaicing and fringing problems that were found in V1.1 that came with the 20D.

Nope, no problem on my machine. After I unstuffed the downloaded SIT file, I ended up with 'Digital Photo Professional Updater_E.pkg' file in the same folder which I then double clicked to install DPP.

SIT file? All i can download is .hqx file, after unstuff it, it gives me "Digital Professional Photo updat" folder, inside there is a sub-folder called "content", one more click there are couple of blank files, a shortcut and another folder named "resource", I did not see a updater, neither .pkg file

I was not able to install either. Downloaded files (no .sit files available only .hqx files) When I tried to unstuff the computer tries to launch Mac OS 9 (OS 9 is not installed on my computer), I am running the most current version of Mac OS X, that is where the process stops. I am using Safari browser. Maybe I should try IE.

Same problem here, you should'nt unstuff it in OS 9, so you have to do it manually in OS X. Easiest way is to just drop the file on stuffit expander.

Oops! I was looking at the wrong file. Yup, you're right. I downloaded DPP150UPD_MX_EN.hqx which is 55MB in size. Double-clicking on it created the Digital Photo Professional updater_E.pkg package. And double-clicking on that created the DPP folder with accompanying program and text files. And mine installed without a hitch. So I'm not sure why you're having problems with it. Can you verify the size of the file that you downloaded? Maybe it's incomplete or got corrupted during the download.

Just had another thought. What version of StuffIt are you using? Mine is v8.0.2

Thank you Joona. Your first post on these boards was a very helpful post. Welcome. Solved my problem. I should have known to try this after using Mac's for 12 years  I just assumed that someone at Canon could not write code for Macs.....boy that's a leap.
Cheers,
Rob
