Is there anything that can be done to solve non-firing issues when too close to the reciever? I can fire my flash from over 100' outside, but if I get inside 3-5', it is VERY inconsistent.
I did a slight antennae mod. I added about 4" of wire to the antennae and wrapped it around inside of the transmitter case. If I went external, would it help?

Stick the antenna out of case helps range, don't know if that will affect the non firing issue. I found the eBay trigger is very picky about the antenna length, the recommanded 5-6 inches actually make my triggers not firing at all. I would suggest that to start with a 10" wire, and cut about 1/2 inch off at a time while testing at both close and far distance, till you find the optimal size.

Thanks for answering. With the external mod, do you have non-firing issues when you are close to the receiver? I have an old cordless phone antenna I could use, but if it won't help the up-close issue, I won't bother. I have all the range I need.
