This was my first attempt trying to catch my cousin spinning fire. We had a blast. We were in a park next to the road and people were stopping. Well I yelled at one of them to go get me some AA batteries because my 580 was running low... lol, they went and got them for me. Tell me what you think, enjoy! :)

I had it hooked up to pocket wizards set just in front of him shooting up set to second curtain.

Shot 4 is def my fav. It looks better when the grass is blacked out. and his upper body is showing. Let's you focus more on the pattern and the subject.

Once took some of these myself but didn't have my SLR so it didn't go so great :)
Great shots! Love the last one... Doesn't look like he's holding anything, more like he's trying to protect himself from the fire circles.

4 is my favorite. Is the white balance hard to balance between the fire and the flash in these?

Nope. All I did was set the WB to Flash mode and then adjusted the look of the fire in lightroom if I didnt like how it came out. It all worked out pretty well and most of the pictures has no adjustments other than the crop and me cloning out the flash at his feet. We are going to try and get together again and shoot (we live 3 hours apart)
