Well this was a first for me, never seen an ice show live before. Was quite interesting and these athletes are quite good at what they do.

Enjoy.

sharpening looks a bit excessive in these photos, and the compression adds to the problem.

6th looks best exposed and best wb, 4 would look better with warmer colors

#6 and 8 are nice.
Looks like a struggle for high enough shutter speeds ;)

Tough venue for shooting. I am somewhat surprised that you were allowed to bring your camera in to this. I thought that photography was prohibited at the professional ice shows.

It is hard enough trying to get shots in a normal setting, let alone in a darkened arena with the skaters coming in and out of the spots.

I am interested in the settings that you managed to achieve and which lens you used, its not possible to get it from your exif.

well done,

Yes Rene' it was tough becase the spots were not constant on maintaining the entire body n the light and I kept loosing the light because of this. Not to mention they move really fast, I was using between 400-600 shutter but I think I needed more.

EastCoast909 - you do need a media photo pass to take these shots, I have this arranged with the venue for all of there shows.
